Abrau-Durso Group summarized Q1 2024 sales results
In Q1 2024, Abrau-Durso Group, the leader in the Russian sparkling wine market, increased sales by 30% compared to the same period in 2023.
At the end of Q1 2024, the total sales growth relative to the corresponding months of last year was 30%. The positive dynamics extends to all key sales channels, including own retail. During the reporting period, the company's product portfolio maintained an upward trend in the category of classic sparkling wines, which amounted to +43% when comparing Q1 of this year to Q1 2023.
Vedernikov Winery, part of the Abrau-Durso Group, which specializes in the production of premium wines from autochthonous grape varieties, has increased its sales volume: at the end of Q1 2024, demand for the winery's products increased by 23% compared to the same period last year.
In the fortified wine category, the Abrau-Durso's portfolio includes Agdam port wine, the growing interest in which brought a plus of 358% compared to Q1 of last year. Agdam is produced at the Sheki Sharab winery, which was the first to receive the right from the Azerbaijani authorities to use the trademark and remains today its only certified manufacturer.
During the reporting period, the Group saw significant sales growth in both the spirits and non-alcoholic categories. Thus, the sales of spirits compared to Q1 2023 showed an increase of 43%, and in non-alcoholic beverages quantitative indicators grew by a quarter.
"In Q1 2024, we managed to exceed our plan and impressively increase sales year-on-year. The positive dynamics was influenced by the development of distribution channels and efforts of the commercial department, timely marketing support, as well as favorable market conditions," commented Pavel Titov, President of the Abrau-Durso Group.
