ABRAU-DURSO RESERVE — BEST WHITE BRUT IN THE "RESERVE" CATEGORY ACCORDING TO TOP100WINES

Abrau-Durso Reserve sparkling wine won in the special nomination "Best White Brut in the 'Reserve' Category" based on the results of a large-scale study of Russian sparkling wines produced using non-classical technologies. The results were presented by the Top100Wines rating as part of Summer Wine Fest 2026.

Abrau-Durso Reserve is a white sparkling wine produced using the tank method (méthode Charmat) featuring a delicate, translucent golden hue and persistent perlage. The bouquet combines aromas of green apple, Williams pear, acacia flowers, spicy herbs, and honey, while its fresh taste with invigorating acidity culminates in a "crisp" finish with notes of green apple and citrus. Previously, Abrau-Durso Reserve Brut was recognized at other professional tasting competitions, winning gold at the prestigious international Vitis Vinifera Awards 2025 in South Africa, as well as a silver medal from the authoritative guide "Russian Wines" by Artur Sarkisyan and RBC.

Summer Wine Fest 2026 took place on July 18 in Moscow. The central event of the festival was the presentation of the results of a comprehensive Top100Wines study dedicated to Russian sparkling wines produced using non-classical technologies. More than 600 representatives of the industry, business, and professional community attended the event.

The study included 125 Russian sparkling wines produced using méthode Charmat, méthode ancestrale, and pét-nat. Following the tasting, 98 samples received medal-zone scores. Experts noted a marked increase in the quality of Russian sparkling wines, as well as the diversity of styles and technologies presented.
