Femme d’Abrau (from French — “a girl from Abrau”) is a fancy cold-style limited edition wine in exclusively designed bottles. Designed for women, it manifests their charm and versatility.

Peony has been a symbol of love and nobility since ancient times. For example, known as “the king of flowers” in China, various colorful traditions were devoted to peony at different times. And now this elegant and delicate flower has inspired the winemakers to create a unique wine representing female beauty.

Abrau-Durso presents a striking wine with mild palate and flower aroma — Femme d’Abrau. Ladies will especially love its delicateness and flower notes, as well as the low alcohol content — just 10.5%. Femme d’Abrau is made from the rare domestic grape variety — Amursky Potapenko. Complex and outstanding wines are made by winemakers from this grape harvested from the one-of-a-kind old vines that are still growing on the vineyards of Yubileinaya Winery, a member of the Abrau-Durso Group.

This fancy novelty is a sample of originality of the amazing variety that can be easily recognized in a glass by elegant peony notes with subtle nuances of tea rose and berries. The long-lasting grape fermentation at a low temperature gives Femme d’Abrau its rich aroma. The wine has versatile flavor with the predominating notes of plum, ripe sweet cherry and black currant and mild well-balanced finish featuring bright tannins and slight spicy tones.

The new wine is limited to 20,000 bottles. Some bottles of the Femme d’Abrau edition will have an elegant neck hanger in the shape of a peony flower.
